Bridgetown
was founded on June 4th, 1902 as Ryder Printing Company.
It was owned and operated by the Ryder family for three
generations.
In
1983, Oregon Lithoprint, Inc. / News Register Publishing
Co. of McMinnville purchased the assets of Ryder Printing
Company and continued its operation in the Portland market.
Then-president, Thomas Ryder retained all rights to the
family name after the sale and our company's name was
officially changed to Bridgetown Printing Company in 1985.
In
1996, Consolidated
Graphics, Inc. of Houston, Texas purchased the company
and continues the long tradition of fine printing established
by its previous owners. Consolidated Graphics, currently
traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol
CGX, adds value to the company by providing managerial
and operational expertise, financial strength and economies
of scale.
In 2007, Bridgetown Printing relocated to a 48,000 square foot facility in the Swan Island Industrial Park. Coinciding with the move, Bridgetown replaced all three of its high-speed printing presses with two new Komori LS 6-color 40" coater presses. Additionally, Bridgetown added new bindery and mailing equipment, drastically expanding their finishing capabilities.
Currently, Bridgetown Printing is one of the largest commercial printers in Portland, Oregon. The president, Ron Brown, who has been with Bridgetown since July of 1984 runs a company that offers a full-service solution for all of your commercial printing needs. From on-line tools and superior printing to mailing and fulfillment, one of our exceptional sales representatives is available to help with the planning and execution of your project.
